Flu vaccine information
State public health officials announced students will be expected to have received a flu vaccine by December 31, 2020.
FLU VACCINE: We have begun to receive our flu vaccine and have appointments available in our flu clinics. Please call the office or send a message via MYCHART to schedule your child's appointment.
We have opened a limited number of flu clinic appointments that parents or patients can self schedule via MyChart. We hope too expand this option in the near future.
FLU VACCINE EXEMPTION POLICY: Based on the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), it is our office policy that we will write a letter of exemption for the Flu vaccine for the following contraindications:
1) Documented allergic reaction to the Flu vaccine
2) Documented history of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS)
Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with a letter of exemption for your child if he or she has not had an allergic reaction to the Flu vaccine or does not have a history of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS).
Our office must continue to provide consistent and accurate information and we hope you understand.
