Alanna grew up in Stoughton, MA. She earned her BA in English from Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire, before going on to complete her M. Ed in Mental Health Counseling at Bridgewater State University. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. After graduate school, she lived in Boston (Jamaica Plain) before moving to Cape Cod. She has worked with children and adolescents as an individual and family therapist for the past 5 years in various settings—such as outpatient therapy, residential treatment, and school adjustment counseling. Alanna’s approach to therapy is person-centered and trauma informed. She also utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and play therapy.
Outside of work, Alanna is a dancer! She is also often found reading, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her husband, friends, family, and family dog (a Yorkie!) Some of her favorite travel experiences were Ireland, Italy, and South America.
