Dr. Smith (maiden name Coggins) has always lived in Massachusetts. She was born in Cohasset, and attended Boston College for undergraduate. In 2012, she moved out to Worcester, MA to get her MD at University of Massachusetts Medical School. She matched at Tufts Floating Hospital for Children for pediatric residency, which she completed in 2019.
After residency, Dr. Smith immediately started working at South Shore Hospital in the Pediatric Emergency Room, as an employee of Boston Children’s Hospital. While at SSH for 4 years, she completed a 1 year fellowship in Acute Care Pediatrics through BCH. She made the decision to transition to primary care to be able to have more continuity with her patients than the ER allowed. She joined Plymouth Pediatric Associates in 2023. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
When not at work, Dr Smith loves spending time at home with her husband, daughter Maddie, and cat Evie. She also enjoys meeting up with extended family, game nights with friends, watching soccer with her husband, and anything Harry Potter/ Star Wars/ Disney related.
